"abc 7 news" has confirmed that san jose police have found a car belonging to a man that killed two people on on north 7th street. >> the car was found abandoned. they believe they shot two people in a domestic violence dispute. >> medina is still on the run. he is believed to be in southern

76-year-old woman is considered at risk based on the length of time she has been missing. nobody has seen her since wednesday afternoon. police are calling for community emergency response team volunteers to help in the search task force will set out from the park in pacifica. >> dan: an east bay woman who is morbidly obese says she was kicked out of the hospital. >> gloria turned 53 on tuesday but another number has put anyct >> celebrat >> i weigh 810 pounds. >> because of her weight she has limited mobility and suffers from a host of medical issues. >> i came in because i had a bile infection. >> last week gloria was admitted here to washington hospital in fremont but she says after one

week she was discharged with no resources and nobody to provide her with the care he is desperately needs. >> i can't be home sitting on this bed rotting because i turned every day my sores get worse. >> this video shows how labor intensive it is to transport gloria. >> i'm not any different because i'm big. >> why should be this washington's responsibility to take care of you. they are not in the weight management business. >> they have more ability more than i to help me. >> washington hospital provided this statement to "abc 7 news." the patient was discharged after she no longer acute care as was discussed with the patient's family. the hospital agreed to supply in-home support care for the patient. what isn't clear what she can do today. her family isn't medically

trained and able to help and the clock is ticking. >> the hospital says they will provide provide her with in-home support services for 14 days at their expense. what isn't clear is what she'll do on day 15. >> carolyn: 12-year-old boy crushed by a tree in san mateo park is recovering from surgery tonight at stanford. his family who reached out exclusively to abc7 news says he will lose his right leg. he was camping at memorial park when a 60 foot tree fell on his tent early wednesday morning. a close family friend described what happened next. >> zachary was saying things like, my legs feel like jelly. they are restless, rolling back and forth. maybe we not he was still half a sleep. >> it turns out he suffered a crushed pelvis. they are worried about internal bleeding.

>> dan: there is new twist to an ongoing crime targeting the elderly in san francisco. police say these people are putting a different kind of pressure on their victims to get money out of them. this is video from a public service announcement from the san francisco police department warning people about the crime but there has been dozens of new victims in the last few weeks. they say strangers approach their targets, elderly chinese women and pray on their superstitions saying they may be haunted. they are touching them the entire time. >> some of these victims are telling us they feel like they might have been drugged in some manner or put under some type of spell from this physical contact. there is nothing we've been able to confirm. >> dan: the victims hand over their money to be freed supposedly from the curse but they are freed from their saving

and jewelry. more than $250,000 in cash and $90,000 in jewelry has been taken from victims in just the last few weeks. >> the archdiocese of san francisco has a new leader. she familiar face. reverend has been bishop of oakland. the vatican announced he is the selection for archbishop overseeing three counties, san francisco, san mateo and marin. 56-year-old pastor is staunch supporter of prop 8. >> marriage is the union of a man and woman because children can only come about through the embrace of a man and a woman. >> i think every child deserves loving parents. it has a to do with their ability to love and care for a child. >> carolyn: the bishop will be installed in october. >> dan: big day on wall street as the dow jones went above the

13,000 mark since may. facebook dropped over 11% today closing at 23.70. that equals a one billion dollar loss for mark zuckerberg. he is still one of the 72 richest people in the world. apple is said to be in talks with twitter recently about making a strategic investment. they say the investment could be in the hundreds of millions of dollars. it could put the value of twitter at more than $10 billion. it's worth about 8.5 billion now. apple has been a big success in selling phones and tablets but little traction in social media. >> a disturbing discovery. what a woman found inside a bag of candy. what the company is telling us. >> dan: a concert in memory of a castro valley girl. how her parents hope it will help in the search.

body. >> the mother's bigger worry is there could be other contaminated packages out there. she contact the hershey company and since she bought it at a safeway store in santa clara she went to the santa clara police department. >> the fact that the package was sealed, it had candy residue it d would appear that it came from the factory. >> they say the candy is manufactured in brazil. hershey issued a statement, we believe this is an isolated case and accidental in nature. we will be taking the needed actions to prevent this happening in the future. amy says she will only be satisfied if the company review the food safety and packaging procedures. >> they offered me three bags of candy replacement. i don't want anything. i just want to know that kids are going to be safe. >> hershey says food safety is their top priority and because they believe it's isolated

incident, they won't be issuing a product recall. karina rusk, abc7 news. >> carolyn: musical tribute was held in honor of a castro valley girl killed in 1994. ♪ >> carolyn: more than 300 students who took part in the jenny lynn participated in the concert. they represent 50 schools in 13 cities. cheryl jennings emceed the event and in memory of this woman, an avid musician who was killed in her home 18 years ago. >> we are doing this in memory of jenny. we are also doing this to remind the public that jenny's murder is still not solved. >> carolyn: there is a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this murder. the foundation was created to

readings, 58 in oakland, 60 in san rafael. here come the highlights fog moves locally and warming trend begins tomorrow. warmer pattern is going to hold through next week. follow the time line. the alignment producing nice pattern. offshore breeze. notice the fog pushing locally across the bay to many inland locations. by 5:00 in the morning we'll have lots of fog around. drizzle around the coastline. there will be some wet spots. overnight, low temperatures generally in the mid 50s. low 50s expected in the north bay valleys. a little chile yes, sir up in santa rosa and napa. tomorrow we expect mainly sunny skies. there may be lingering patches of coastal fog, high

temperatures 60s at the coast to 70s around the bay to upper 80s in the warmest spots. we might top up around 90 at clearlake but inland areas mostly in the 80s. a little fog near the bay. santa cruz, 70s there and inland very warm with highs in the low to mid-80s for morgan hill to gilroy. speaking of gilroy. how about the garlic festival that takes place this weekend. it kicks off tomorrow morning starting at 10:00, mainly sunny, temperatures in the upper 60s. noon it will be warming up and by 74 degrees by noon. 4:00 p.m., mid-80s in gilroy and tapering off gradually by 7:00 p.m., temperatures still at 77 degrees which is comfortably warm and great day to kick off the festival. we have great weather coming the
